Summer is a time for a little less structure and a lot more fun!
Through the summer, we have a bit more flexibility in our daily schedule (because we are not governed by school bus runs)
so we will be enhancing our curriculum with special activities such as picnics, parades, field trips, guests, etc.
We will have a horse come for a visit during our Cowboys & Cowgirls week, and have an actual Teddy Bear Picnic when
each child brings their favorite Teddy Bear and we eat a picnic lunch in the grass! The Lone Peak Fire Department come
and bring their big fire engine for the kids to check out and we also go to the new Highland Splash Pad!
The end of July, we visit the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur exhibit. We also go to the Zoo for a day, the Aquarium,
and Old Deseret Village! All that is in addition to movie matinees, trips to the park, roller skating, miniature golf,
bowling, Lehi swimming pool, etc. so there is no end to the fun and adventures planned for Summer!
Summer Boredom Busters for School-agers
Miss Amber is planning all kinds of fun activities for the school-age kids this summer while Ms. Terri is teaching preschool.
The older children will enjoy things such as: beading, weaving, braiding and hair-styling, jewelry making, special art projects,
sewing, manicures and pedicures, dancing and exercising, making candy, bread, and cookies, knitting, gardening, neighborhood
bike rides, roller skating, animal care, acting and making videos, reading and story-telling, ice-blocking, lemonade stand,
ceramics, sock puppets, etc. They REALLY won't want summer to end ~
My Goal Is Kindergarten Readiness

social interaction, sequencing, dramatic play, handwriting, vocabulary, exercising, science, math, art, and time for free
play.
