*** Quiet activities for school-agers who don't take naps

Monday is Movie Day and we will enjoy a video that corresponds with the week's theme
Tuesday is Tasting Day and we will prepare and sample a food item that ties in with the theme
Wednesday is Water Play Day and we will enjoy some extra time outdoors cooling off with water (between Memorial Day and Labor Day)
Thursday is our Show & Tell and it's the only day children are encouraged to bring an item from home that they can show to the other children and tell them about it to help develop their public speaking
Friday is our Field Day when we will either take Field Trips or spend extra time running and playing outside!

For a couple of months every Spring, we also have "color days" that usually start with "green day" for St. Patrick's Day.  It is generally every Friday and we will designate certain colors for all of the children to wear to daycare to help us discover more about those colors.

No one learns in just one way, so we do lots of different things each day.
